TV Audience Measurement

Through our GSM Peoplemeters, we seek to gather an accurate and detailed measurement of audience behaviour for TV in general and for each programme  of the respective  channels.

We also endeavour to determine the viewer profile for a particular programme or time slot and to measure the viewing time per particular demographic class or region .

 Our panel of household respondents are equipped with one or more Peoplemeters  in their main residence. Our panel of respondent households will be established in a statistical manner to accurately represent both the socio-demographic characteristics of households of a nation, not forgetting the types of television reception available, be it terrestrial, digital, cable, satellite or broadband.

Ecah Peoplemeter is accompanied with a remote control with individual keys, which records:

a.       The activity of the TV viewership;

b.      The kind of channels, content and programmes being viewed; and

c.       The various applications of a TV set.

The use of individual keys on the remote control, which represents each individual in a household, the Peoplemeters are able to determine the viewing habits of each member of the household, paving way for a data rich analysis.

Considering that these Peoplemeters are premised on GSM technology, these devices facilitate two-way communication with the panel respondents including the conduct of opinion polls on various issues, be it political, current issues and advertising/programme/channel feedback.

Radio Audience Measurement

With the use of smartphones, our panel respondents, who are carefully selected to represent the statistical demographic spectrum of a nation, participate in a daily survey to determine their listenership patterns.

This survey exercise is encrypted within an Android applet, simplifying the element of accessibility to the respondent and speed of feedback.

With a respondent base of individuals aged 13 years and over, surveys are conducted on the following day through these Android applets to determine respondent’s previous day’s radio listenership patterns.

To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the panel respondent base, Media Analytics takes great efforts to examine the level of socio-demographic representation and the geographical stratification of its respondent base on a periodic basis to uphold fair statistical representation.

Advertisement Monitoring

Media Analytics deems this service with great importance for its clients’ effective strategy development. Through this service, we seek to gather information about your own advertising campaign, along with a comparison of advertising activities of your rivals. We closely monitor these advertisements on the various broadcast channels for a particular period, be it days or a specific time belt.
